Pope Francis used his Christmas message to talk about peace in the Middle East, he also referenced the confrontation on the Korean peninsula and the turmoil in Syria. The bulk of his address though concentrated on welcoming immigrants. He said, “Jesus knows well the pain of not being welcomed and how hard it is not to have a place to lay one’s head. May our hearts not be closed as they were in the homes of Bethlehem.”
Stop and look at the nativity scene: let us enter the true spirit of Christmas with the shepherds, bringing Baby Jesus all that we are.
