Politico: Senate Panel Approves Bill To Shield Mueller From Trump Firing
The measure still faces stiff opposition from Senate GOP leaders and the White House, even as the president continues to rage against the expanding Russia probe.
The vote was 14-7 with four Republicans joining all the Democrats on the Judiciary Committee. Mitch McConnell has said he won’t bring this bill to the floor of the Senate for a vote.
