Politico: Senate clears bill removing Confederate names from military bases, setting up clash with Trump
Senators approved the National Defense Authorization Act in a 86-14 blowout.
The 86-14 vote would be large enough to override a presidential veto.
Brushing aside Trump's veto threat, the House and Senate marched forward this week with plans rename military bases named after Confederate leaders in the NDAA, teeing up a showdown with the President later this year. https://t.co/ZzUggl1wBx
