Politico: Pelosi rebukes ‘sick’ GOP denial of Jan. 6 violence
Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Thursday slammed the growing number of Republican lawmakers who have downplayed the threat of Jan. 6’s deadly insurrection, calling the GOP’s false narrative “quite appalling.”
Speaker Pelosi’s comments come a day after a congressional hearing investigating the security failure at the U.S. Capitol. During the hearing, several members of the GOP shared an alternate reality of what actually happened during the siege.
