NYT: White House Weighs Another Reduction in Refugees Admitted to U.S.
Under one proposal, no more than 25,000 refugees could be resettled in the United States next year, a cut of more than 40 percent from this year’s limit.
If this new initiative gets pushed through, the new number of refugees allowed to resettle in the U.S. would be the lowest since the creation of the refugee program in 1980.
