NYT: New York Is Said to Open Tax Inquiry Into Trump Foundation
The New York State tax department could present its findings to a law enforcement agency for possible criminal prosecution.
The inquiry, led by the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance, will seek to determine whether the Donald J. Trump foundation went against state tax laws and is separate from the investigation by the New York Attorney General.
