NYT: Lawyer Who Was Said to Have Dirt on Clinton Had Closer Ties to Kremlin Than She Let On
Newly released emails have renewed questions about who the lawyer, Natalya V. Veselnitskaya, was representing when she met with top Trump campaign officials promising dirt on Hillary Clinton.
Donald Trump Jr.’s meeting with Natalia Veselnitskaya at Trump Tower back in June 2016 may now be raising even more eyebrows. In the almost two years since the meeting, Veselnitskaya has insisted she was a private attorney. Not anymore. In an interview with NBC airing later today Veselnitskaya says, “I am an informant.” Emails recently uncovered confirm the same thing, she was working closely with a top Kremlin official.
