NYT: Facebook Has Identified Ongoing Political Influence Campaign
Facebook has identified a coordinated political influence campaign that includes stoking division around white supremacy and the Abolish ICE movement.
Facebook says it is trying to prevent a repeat of the Russian election interference scandal. The company is working with the FBI to investigate another political influence effort on the platform ahead of this November’s midterm elections. So far, there is no evidence to link this political influence campaign to Russia, but that has not been ruled out.
