NYT: Betsy DeVos Is Said to Weigh Letting School Districts Use Federal Funds to Buy Guns
The Education Department may let school districts use money meant for academic enrichment to buy guns, officials with knowledge of the plan say.
This sounds like a plan to line the pockets of gun manufacturers.
Why? Because gun manufacturers are in the hole at least $100 million since Trump’s election. The @NRA can’t scare Americans by saying the President is going to take away their guns, so they have to arm 3.6M teachers to put money back in their coffers. https://t.co/s5ldC4sJH9

Throwing guns at the problem won’t solve it. The Trump Administration's plan to arm teachers ignores the real issue: guns in the hands of dangerous people. Do we really think guns in kindergarten is going to save lives? Come on. https://t.co/qCUt3yXbop
