NY Daily News: CNN anchors Don Lemon and Brian Stelter speak at sentencing of Trump supporter who threatened journalists: ‘My family was in danger’
Anchors Don Lemon and Brian Stelter spoke to a smaller audience than they’re used to Monday, addressing Judge Alvin Hellerstein and a small group of lawyers at the sentencing of Robert Lemke, who pleaded guilty last month to sending more than 50 threats to prominent journalists, politicians and their family members in late 2020 and early 2021.
The Daily News writes, “(Robert) Lemke unleashed the threats between November 2020 and January 2021. He sent 19 threatening messages on Jan. 6, the day of the insurrection at the U.S. Capitol.”
