NPR: Pompeo Won’t Say Whether He Owes Yovanovitch An Apology. ‘I’ve Done What’s Right’
As the State Department faces ongoing questions over Marie Yovanovitch’s treatment as U.S. envoy to Ukraine, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo tells NPR, “I’ve defended every single person on this team.”
The Secretary of State wasn’t happy about being questioned on Ukraine, so he lashed out at a reporter using expletives. And he likely didn’t anticipate her response.
The coda to @NPRKelly's interview with @SecPompeo is shocking. As described on @npratc: He screamed, swore at her, and said she couldn't find Ukraine on a map. He ordered staffers to bring a blank map. She pointed to Ukraine and thanked him for his time.https://t.co/8HlCDWxCU9
