NPR: Justice Ginsburg: ‘I Am Very Much Alive’
The Supreme Court justice sat down for an interview with NPR’s Nina Totenberg and said that despite battling cancer for a third time earlier this year, she’s not going anywhere anytime soon.
Ginsburg says don’t let her health issues make people think she is anyway checked out, remarking that “work is really what saved me.” And taking it a step further she said:
“There was a senator, I think it was after my pancreatic cancer, who announced with great glee that I was going to be dead within six months. That senator, whose name I have forgotten, is now himself dead, and I am very much alive.”
