NPR: Half Of All U.S. Adults Are Now Fully Vaccinated Against COVID-19

The U.S. has reached a milestone in the fight against the coronavirus as half of the adult population in America is now fully vaccinated against COVID-19. It marks a stunning achievement for the Biden Administration as ending the pandemic and returning the country to normalcy was the president’s top priority entering office. Vice-President Harris noted the benchmark in a tweet, but reminded that the battle is far from over.

During a White House briefing on Tuesday, senior adviser Andy Slavitt noted how far the country’s vaccination efforts had come since Biden took office.

“This is a major milestone in our country’s vaccination efforts. The number was 1% when we entered office Jan. 20.”
