NPR: Assange, Manafort Deny Report They Met. The White House Declined To Address It
The boss of WikiLeaks and Donald Trump’s former campaign chairman both said Tuesday they hadn’t met before the 2016 election, notwithstanding a news account that said Manafort had flown to London.
Paul Manafort says, “I have never met Julian Assange or anyone connected to him. I have never been contacted by anyone connected to Wikileaks, either directly or indirectly.”
