NPR: 2 Proud Boys Ordered Jailed Pending Trial In Capitol Riot Conspiracy Case
Ethan Nordean and Joseph Biggs had been released, but the government renewed its request to return them to custody after indicting them. A federal judge agreed, given the nature of the allegations.
Two members of the extremist group the Proud Boys are heading back to jail after a federal judge’s ruling. Prosecutors argued that the two are reportedly leaders in the far-right group and played a key role in the planning of the Insurrection at the Capitol on January 6. Both are facing a half-dozen charges related to the deadly riot.
