NBC: Sarah Sanders: No need for Trump to tone down rhetoric following Hasson arrest
The White House press secretary’s defense comes one week after a Coast Guard lieutenant was arrested for allegedly planning to attack journalists and Democratic politicians.
The White House doesn’t seem all that concerned with a massive terror plot to kill journalists and politicians. And Donald Trump certainly doesn’t seem to think calling the media the enemy of the people has any impact.
Trump said the Coast Guard member arrested for threatening Democrats and media figures was "a shame" and "a very sad thing."
Asked by @HallieJackson whether he bears any responsibility for his own language, Trump replied, “I think my language is very nice.”
