NBC News: U.S. to withdraw almost 12,000 troops from Germany in sweeping reorganization
President Donald Trump has long singled out Germany, a historically close U.S. ally, for not spending enough on defense and running a trade surplus.
NBC writes that this move “is widely seen in Europe as emblematic of the dramatic deterioration in relations between Washington and Berlin under President Donald Trump.” And today, while talking to reporters Donald Trump seemed to confirm this.
Incredible ROI for Putin w/Trump.
Russia paid bounties to kill US soldiers. -> No response from Trump.
Trump moving US troops from Germany, weakening NATO. -> Win for Putin.
State Dept could have $120M to fight Russian interference. -> $0 spent.
Next up 2020 elections…
