NBC News: Notre Dame withdraws as 2020 presidential debate host citing coronavirus threat
The school is the second to withdraw from hosting a presidential debate this year.
Notre Dame’s president released a statement saying he “made what he called “this difficult decision because the necessary health precautions would have greatly diminished the educational value of hosting the debate on our campus.”
We are pleased to announce that the first presidential debate on Sept 29, 2020 will be co-hosted by @cwru and @ClevelandClinic and held at the Health Education Campus (HEC) in Cleveland, OH. Full release here: https://t.co/Pdy0zm3qCy
