NBC News: House lawmakers vow to secure U.S. visas for Syrian Kurds after Trump’s troop pullout
The move comes after President Trump faced condemnation from both sides of the aisle over his plans to pull U.S. troops out of Syria.
The bill, sponsored by Democratic Rep. Jason Crow of Colorado and Republican Rep. Michael Waltz of Florida, would grant 4,000 visas a year to Syrian Kurds who worked alongside U.S troops fighting ISIS.
