NBC News: Georgia secretary of state’s office opens inquiry into Trump phone call
Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger’s office has opened an investigation into former President Donald Trump’s Jan. 2 phone call urging Raffensperger to overturn the state’s election results.
The phone call in question is also expected to come up at the Senate impeachment trial.
Per @GaSecofState spox: the state elections board is comprised of 2 Democrats, 2 Republicans and chaired by Raffensperger.
