NBC: Former CEO of major drug company first to face charges in opioid crisis
Laurence Doud III, the former CEO of Rochester Drug Co-Operative, was indicted Tuesday for narcotics conspiracy and conspiracy to defraud the Drug Enforcement Administration.
Doud is accused of handing out millions of opioid drugs that his pharmaceutical company had no need for.
