Moderna says new data shows Covid vaccine is more than 94% effective, plans to ask FDA for emergency clearance later Monday
Moderna is the second drugmaker to seek emergency use from the FDA after Pfizer applied for the same authorization on Nov. 20.
Both Pfizer and Moderna vaccines are expected to be available sometime in December.
"As soon as we get approval General Perna and his teams are going to get all the vaccines we have and start shipping it–his goal is to vaccinate Americans within 24 hours of approval," says Moderna CEO Stephane Bancel. pic.twitter.com/Hj3TMRDrWQ
