Marketwatch: Nearly 50,000 GM auto workers go on strike for first time since 2007
More than 49,000 members of the United Auto Workers walked off General Motors factory floors or set up picket lines early Monday.
Several of the Democratic candidates for president are standing behind the workers who are fighting for fair wages, affordable healthcare, profit sharing, job security and more.
I am proud to support the @UAW workers who are standing up to the greed of GM. Our message to GM is a simple one: End the greed, sit down with the UAW and work out an agreement that treats your workers with the respect and the dignity they deserve. https://t.co/nAQoeX82oz
