Officer Eugene Goodman redirected Romney away from the rioters, security video in the impeachment trial shows.
Romney thanked Goodman in person tonight, saying he learned Goodman helped him only after seeing the video today:
“I expressed my appreciation to him for coming to my aid and getting me back into the path of safety and express my appreciation for all that he did that day.”
