FBI Director Wray says the Capitol siege has been an ‘inspiration’ to terrorist extremists
Christopher Wray’s public comments are his first since the Jan. 6. assault by Trump supporters.
Wray says in spite of conspiracy theories to the contrary, “We have not, to date, seen any evidence of anarchist violence extremists or people subscribing to Antifa in connection to the 6th.” But he did say they found “instances of racially motivated violent extremism, especially advocating for the superior of the white race.”
FBI Director Christopher Wray said the agency views the Jan. 6 Capitol attack as "domestic terrorism."
“The problem of domestic terrorism has been metastasizing across the country for a long time now, and it’s not going away any time soon.” https://t.co/JPf9NdCcl3 pic.twitter.com/x24r4f3sO8
