CNN: Pioneering sportscaster Phyllis George has died – CNN Video
Phyllis George, a broadcast television pioneer who became the first female co-anchor of the football pregame show “The NFL Today,” has died. She was 70. George is the mother of CNN’s Pamela Brown.
George was born in Texas and crowned Miss America in 1971.
