CNN: Pence, top political aides set to get raises amid shutdown
Vice President Mike Pence and senior political aides may see their paychecks go up soon if Congress does not pass legislation that would extend a pay freeze for those officials, according to documents from the Office of Personnel Management.
The raises come at the same time as some 800,000 federal workers go without pay during the shutdown. President Trump also issued an executive order freezing federal worker pay in 2019.
