CNN: Israel will allow Rep. Rashida Tlaib to enter country for humanitarian visit
Israel has granted permission for Democratic Rep. Rashida Tlaib to enter the country on humanitarian grounds to visit her family in the West Bank a day after blocking her and fellow Rep. Ilhan Omar from visiting the country.
We expect Rep. Omar will have lots to say about this split decision today. Thursday she said, “Trump’s Muslim ban is what Israel is implementing.”
Israel’s government changed its mind overnight and will allow a visit from one of the two Democratic congresswomen it barred from entering the country. Rashida Tlaib will get a humanitarian pass to visit relatives in the West Bank, but her colleague Ilhan Omar is still excluded. pic.twitter.com/lLRWDtTtg2
