CNN: Harris climbs in the Democratic race, as enthusiasm starts high for both parties
An 8-point jump in support for California Sen. Kamala Harris stands out in a new CNN Poll conducted by SSRS that shows a field of four in double digits in the race for the Democratic nomination for president.
Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders have the most support among Democratic candidates right now (even though Biden still isn’t officially in the race). The other big takeaway from this poll is that Republicans are currently more enthusiastic about voting for president in 2020, “Nearly 6 in 10 self-identified Republicans (57%) say they are extremely enthusiastic about voting for president, compared with 46% among Democrats and 26% among independents.”
