CNBC: Senate passes $8.3 billion emergency coronavirus package, sending bill to Trump’s desk
The $8.3 billion emergency funding plan sailed through the House a day earlier in a 415-2 vote. The bill now heads to the White House, where President Donald Trump is expected to sign it.
Republican Rand Paul is the only Senator who voted against this bill.
I support our gov’s efforts to fight the coronavirus. We also owe it to the American ppl to do it in a way that avoids piling billions more in debt on their backs. My amendment responsibly uses taxpayer resources by reducing waste to pay for this spending. https://t.co/bzqrxMRG7E
