CNBC: Retail sales drop worse-than-expected 1.1% in July as rising Covid fears hit consumers
Retail sales were expected to decrease 0.3% in July, according to economists surveyed by Dow Jones.
The biggest declines came in the auto and home building industries. The hit is attributed to concerns over the Delta variant.
