CNBC: Rep. Rashida Tlaib rejects Israel’s offer to let her visit West Bank – ‘it would kill a piece of me’
Earlier, Israel’s interior minister said he has granted a request by Democratic Rep. Rashida Tlaib to enter the Israeli-occupied West Bank on humanitarian grounds.
First Israel said Rashida Tlaib wasn’t welcome, then the country said she could come with conditions. Now the Congresswoman says she can’t accept their latest offer.
Silencing me & treating me like a criminal is not what she wants for me. It would kill a piece of me. I have decided that visiting my grandmother under these oppressive conditions stands against everything I believe in–fighting against racism, oppression & injustice. https://t.co/z5t5j3qk4H
