CNBC: Major cruise lines could be left out of the coronavirus stimulus bailout
The cruise industry was ground to halt by the coronavirus pandemic, after a number of outbreaks on ships. Carnival, Royal Caribbean and Norwegian Cruises have all suspended operations.
Almost all the major cruise lines are incorporated in other countries. It helps the ship’s operators avoid paying U.S. taxes and abiding by U.S. laws. Donald Trump has said that the U.S. would help them despite that, but now it looks like they won’t benefit from the stimulus after all.
