CNBC: Justice Department caved to Trump “pressure campaign” to drop Michael Flynn prosecution, lawyer charges
Michael Flynn briefly served as national security advisor under President Donald Trump. He is now seeking to undo a guilty plea for lying to the FBI.
The Justice Department thought they would intervene in the Flynn case and that would be case closed, but today a federal judge tasked with arguing against the motion to dismiss called the DOJ’s action a “corrupt, politically motivated favor for the President’s friend and ally.”
