CNBC: IRS pushes April 15 U.S. tax deadline to May 15
The IRS is planning to push back the deadline for the tax filing season about one month, to May 15 from April 15.
There was apparently one more benefit to the American Rescue Plan we didn’t know about until today: An extension to file our taxes.
The IRS confirms it is giving U.S. taxpayers another month to file their taxes, in part because it’s busy sending out stimulus checks.
