CNBC: Chipotle hikes prices to cover the cost of raising wages
Chipotle Mexican Grill has hiked menu prices by roughly 4% to cover the cost of raising its workers’ wages.
Several businesses have hiked their minimum wage to attract employees and this is a sign that some of the cost will be passed along to the consumer. We suspect Chipotle isn’t the only restaurant raising prices right now.
