As secretary of state in 2016, John Kerry signed the Paris climate accord. Now, after the Trump administration withdrew, the U.S. is recommitting.
Kerry, the U.S. special presidential envoy for climate, told CBS News: “I think we have to end the word climate change and own up to the fact that it’s the climate crisis now”
John Kerry says that limiting an increase in the average global temperature to no more than 1.5 degrees Celsius is “critical”:
