“My hope is that the Program provided his victims a meaningful measure of justice and a step on the path toward healing,” the fund’s administrator said.
More than 135 people received compensation. The New York Times reports “a few people decided not to accept the awards, allowing them the opportunity to pursue lawsuits against the estate instead.”
