CBS: House tables resolution to censure Maxine Waters over remarks about Chauvin trial
She had told protesters to “get more confrontational.” After Chauvin’s guilty verdict, Waters said, “Someone said it better than me: ‘I’m not celebrating, I’m relieved.'”
After the George Floyd verdict, Waters said she won’t be intimidated, “the young people want to see their elders stand up… I will continue to speak truth to power and I will continue to be an activist legislator.”
Following the verdict in Minneapolis, I had the pleasure of being interviewed by @JoyAnnReid on @MSNBC. I'm feeling great and I'm sharing it with you. pic.twitter.com/EJVIoBoocw
