California Gov. Gavin Newsom says he’s ‘worried’ about recall effort
Democrats began rolling out supportive videos and a fundraising effort to support Newsom on Monday, drawing on the backing of progressive lawmakers across the country, including Sens. Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders.
A recall is no longer a long shot for California’s Governor. Critics who want to have Newsom face a special election now say they have 2 million signatures, that’s more than enough to force a vote.
