Buzzfeed: Matthew Shepard’s Remains Will Be Interred In Washington National Cathedral
It’s been 20 years since the Wyoming college freshman was murdered for being gay.
The Shepard family has been unable to find a secure final resting place for their son, fearing the grave would be desecrated. The dean of the Washington National Cathedral said he was honored and humbled to accept Shepard’s remains. A service will be held on October 26.
