Bloomberg: States Can Require Internet Tax Collection, Supreme Court Rules
The U.S. Supreme Court freed states and local governments to start collecting billions of dollars in sales taxes from internet retailers that donât currently charge tax to their customers.
This could be a game changer for the online retailers like Amazon and eBay and NOT in a good way. If consumers have to pay tax for online purchases will they go back to brick-and-mortar stores?
