Axios: Trump cancels Pompeo’s North Korea trip
President Trump has directed Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to cancel his upcoming trip to North Korea, saying the country was not “making sufficient progress with respect to denuclearization.”
Sounds like Donald Trump may have jumped the gun when he said North Korea was “no longer a nuclear threat.” Today it looks a little like the administration is throwing in the towel when it comes to progress with the Peninsula’s denuclearization.
I have asked Secretary of State Mike Pompeo not to go to North Korea, at this time, because I feel we are not making sufficient progress with respect to the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula…
