Axios: Oakland becomes the latest major U.S. city to see teachers strike
Teachers in Oakland began a strike Thursday morning, joining Los Angeles and Denver among major U.S. cities that have seen teachers’ strikes in recent months.
The Oakland teachers want a 12% pay raise over the next three years, due to the Bay Area’s astronomical costs of living.
