Axios: Federal court temporarily halts “Remain in Mexico” program
The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals upheld an earlier injunction on Friday, temporarily halting Trump’s policy of forcing illegal immigrants to remain in Mexico while their asylum cases are processed.
Advocates had denounced the “Remain in Mexico” policy, saying that it violates domestic and international refugee law and puts migrants in harm’s way.
