AP: UK judge refuses US extradition of WikiLeaks founder Assange
A British judge on Monday rejected the United States’ request to extradite WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange to face espionage charges, saying he was likely to kill himself if held under harsh U.S. prison conditions.
A judge cited Assange’s mental health in her ruling.
"Today is a victory for Julian… [but the US] continues to want to punish Julian and make him disappear into the deepest, darkest hole of the US prison system"
