AP: Teacher departures leave schools scrambling for substitutes
With many teachers opting out of returning to the classroom because of the coronavirus, schools around the U.S. are scrambling to find replacements and in some places lowering requirements to get substitutes in the door.
Not only is this generation of Americans suffering, but the cost of mishandling the coronavirus pandemic will affect this country, and its standing in the world for years to come.
