AP: GOP Rep. Farenthold resigns from Congress
WASHINGTON (AP) — Texas Republican Rep. Blake Farenthold abruptly resigned Friday, four months after announcing he wouldn’t seek re-election amid sexual harassment allegations.
A Texas Congressman suddenly quits saying “While I planned on serving out the remainder of my term in Congress, I know in my heart it’s time for me to move along.” Some are now questioning whether he will repay $84,000 in taxpayer money that he used to settle a sexual harassment claim.
