AP: Gaetz Says He Won’t Resign Over ‘False’ Sex Allegations
Rep. Matt Gaetz said Monday he will not leave Congress and denied that he “slept with” an underage girl, suggesting that accusations against him stem from political foes angry that he “loathes the swamp.”
Embattled Florida congressman Matt Gaetz wrote a defiant Op-Ed where he insisted he has no plans to resign amid a federal investigation into alleged sex crimes. Gaetz also made sure to put the blame for his current dilemma on the democrats, the media, the Justice Department and even “the Cheney political dynasty.”
