AP EXCLUSIVE: Soldiers were issued bayonets for DC unrest
The chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff has confirmed a report by The Associated Press that some of the service members who were mobilized to Washington, D.C., last month were issued bayonets.
The thought of regular Army troops being deployed against U.S. citizens is bad enough. Now the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff is confirming some were also given bayonets.
